PRISM BioLab Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (hereinafter referred to as the “APPI”). The Company will appropriately handle and protect personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”). Unless otherwise defined herein, the definitions of terms used in this Policy shall be in accordance with the APPI

  1. Collection of Personal Information and Purposes of Use
    The personal information collected by the Company includes, but is not limited to, name, gender, age, physical address, email address, telephone number, occupation, and workplace. The Company collects such information directly from individuals to whom the personal information pertains (hereinafter referred to as the “data subjects”) through various means, including oral communication, written documents, email, and website forms.

    The Company uses personal information for the following purpose
    1. To authenticate data subjects and to provide services related to the Company’s research and development of pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs, and biotechnology, the sale of developed products, consulting services related to pharmaceutical research and development, and other related services (collectively, the “Services”)
    2. To plan and develop the Company’s products and services, including those utilizing pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs, and biotechnology
    3. To send notifications, newsletters, and other communications related to the use ofthe Services
    4. To provide personal information to research teams based on the individual’s application, such as participation in clinical trials
    5. To notify changes to terms and conditions or other policies related to the Service
    6. To improve the Services and develop new services
    7. To conduct public relations activities, publications, and advertising operations related to the Services
    8. To distribute information and updates regarding the Company and its businesse
    9. To respond to inquiries and provide customer support related to the Service
    10. To manage employment and conduct recruitment activities, including selection and communication with candidate
    11. For other purposes incidental to the above
  2. Changes to Purposes of Us
    The Company may change the purposes of use of personal information within a scope reasonably considered relevant to the Purposes of Use described in the preceding paragraph. In the event of such changes, the Company will notify the data subject or make a public announcement.
  3. Restrictions on Use of Personal Information
    The Company will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the Purposes of Use described in paragraph 1 without obtaining prior consent from the data subject, except as permitted by the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Proper Acquisition of Personal Information
    The Company will acquire personal information appropriately in compliance with the APPI and applicable guidelines, and will not acquire such information through deception or other wrongful means.
  5. Security Management of Personal Information
    The Company will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent risks such as loss, destruction, alteration, unauthorized use, or leakage of personal information. The Company will also exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over its employees. In addition, if the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to a contractor, the Company will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the contractor to ensure the proper security management of personal information at the contractor.

  6. Provision to Third Parties
    The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the data subject, except as permitted by the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations
  7. Provision of Personally Referable Information to Third Parties
    When providing personally referable information to a third party, where it is expected that such information will be acquired as personal data by the third party, the Company will not provide such information without making the confirmation required under the APPI and other applicable laws and regulations, except as otherwise permitted by such laws and regulations
  8. Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, and Suspension of Use of Personal Information
    If a data subject requests disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use of personal information, or disclosure of records regarding provision of personal information to or from third parties in accordance with the APPI, the Company will respond appropriately in accordance with such laws.

    The Company’s website uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to protect telecommunications between web browsers and servers. Personal information entered by users, such as names, physical addresses, and telephone numbers, is automatically encrypted, ensuring that such information cannot be intercepted or accessed by unauthorized third parties.
  10. Use of Cookies
    Cookies are data sent from a web server to a user’s web browser. The web server can identify the user’s device by referring to cookies, enabling more efficient use of the Company’s website. Files sent from the Company’s website as Cookies do not contain information that identifies data subjects.

    Users can disable Cookies through their browser settings.
